frequently asked questions

Here’s a list of the most frequently asked questions from clients. Hopefully this helps you find some answers on the experience options and the booking process. If you have more questions, as always, please feel free to send me a message.

Guided DIY is what I wish I had on my wedding day. It’s when you (or whoever you wish) comes together to arrange flowers in a stress free way.  I use my expertise in color choosing and flower picking, arrange your bridal bouquet and maids, then we choose what else you would like to have designed with your friends. Depending on how many hands we have we will generally be able to create the ceremony and reception flowers. This day feels like a cross between a workshop and a private lesson where the end result is you have created some beautiful flowers and memories with those you love before your wedding day. The only requirement is that a minimum of four people are available at the guided DIY day.

You know yourself better than I do.  A few questions to ask yourself are: How do you envision your day? How do you want your planning process to look and feel? The question is more of what feels more right to you.

If you’re choosing whether to have a guided DIY day ask yourself this. Do you want to wake up, get pampered, and then just walk into your dream wedding? Or would you rather see some behind-the-scenes of how that dream is created?

Are you tired of looking through planning things and just want to get married in a beautiful place with beautiful flowers? I’ll get in touch with your coordinator and we’ll take the planning from here.

If you’re still conflicted, send me a message and we can work through the planning jitters!

The booking process is streamlined for your convenience. You don’t have to know what flowers you want in each arrangement in order to book. Overall the booking process looks like this:

Inquiry -> Questionnaire -> Quote -> We verify the quote and make changes as needed -> Contract is signed and 20% deposit is paid -> Your date is secured!

After the contract is signed and the deposit is paid to secure your date, we can either take a breather or get after color and mood board planning. Just like you have changed your mind on bridesmaids dresses every time BHLDN or Baltic Born update inventory, you’ll go back and forth on what colors you want in your arrangements. Eight weeks before your wedding is when we make sure everything is dialed in. One month before is when I place orders and don’t have much freedom in making color changes.

Yes you can! It’s simple and easy to add to the quote. The details are listed out in the contract.

Setup day is your wedding day. It’s go time. It’s the big event, the grand finale. It’s the day you’ve invested so much time and money into perfecting. Paying for a setup day ensures that you won’t have to worry about a single thing when it comes to your flowers.  Cute details at the bar, head table setting and decor, cake flowers, the flat lay picture with your stationary suite, extra bundles for your welcome sign and some of the aisle chairs will all be covered. It’s a way to make sure that you and your closest friends get to sip champagne and not have to think a second about the water spilling all over the back of your car on the ride up the mountain to the ceremony site. With the setup day, I take that stress from you. I’ll be there to hand you your perfectly ribboned bouquet and to double-check it before you walk down the aisle.

Sometimes, some things simply have to be assembled on site like arches, hanging florals on banisters or chandeliers, head table garlands, and fireplace installations. This will all be discussed through the quote process.

Not yet! My husband and I are currently off grid on raw timber land so the challenges of growing a production cut-flower garden are simply too much. Eventually we will! If you know any flower growers in the north county please send them my way. I would love to buy flowers from them!

If you or a family member have been growing flowers, we can talk about using those flowers and curating seed selection. I do not recommend growing your own flowers if you haven’t been doing that for a while!

Yes! Please see my Everlasting Elopement package on the services page. It sounds like the right fit for you!

Order minimums are to make sure neither of us are wasting our time. I value your time and your money and I would hate to produce an inferior product due to not having enough flowers. The minimums make sure that I have enough flowers to keep me busy and to create a beautiful product for you.
